The Mock Employment Tribunal
Katie Bard in conjunction with Clarke Willmott LLP hosted a Mock Employment Tribunal in June. The event was attended by more than 70 human resource professionals from across the West Midlands.
The tribunal consisted of a live mock dismissal case based on poor employee performance.
Clarke Willmott's expert team of employment lawyers gave advice on adopting best practice to maximise prospects of tribunal success and explained the practices and procedures that are common to tribunal cases.
“Seeing and understanding the runnings of a tribunal is very beneficial, as was having legal people in their natural roles.”

The event concluded with a delegate vote in favor of the employee.
Julie Fouad from Katie Bard, said the mock tribunal had struck a chord with human resource professionals and company directors alike saying:
“This highlighted the problems that might occur if you believe you are taking all the right steps, but haven’t had the proper advice from legal experts.”
The event concluded in an informative Q&A with the team of expert employment lawyers from Clarke Willmott LLP, allowing attendies to ask specific questions about this particular case scenario and other possible tribunal outcomes.
