Description
Assistant HR Director required to provide strategic HR support to the HR Director, as well as lead & support a team of HR Business Partners. Trade Union knowledge/experience is essential in this strategic, rather than operational role.

The person will be expected to ensure the smooth and effective running of the HR business partnering function, as well as to use their comprehensive employment law and commercial knowledge to drive through business change.
Profile:
Chartered CIPD & Commercially Astute.
Excellent communication skills at all levels, with the ability to build excellent working relationships with all internal clients.
Experience of working within a HR Business Partnering environment, with multiple lines, with solid operational understanding of the challenges this brings. Experience of complex HR strategy design and implementation. Experience of working in a multi-site organisation, ideally with Union exposure.
Responsibilities:
Translation of strategic developments into organisational practice and behaviors.
Ensuring the team of HR Business Partners have ongoing support and guidance whilst their roles are in transition from HR Advisors to HRBPs.
Managing the operation of the HR strategy for all business lines, and providing expert advice to all company Directors on the implementation of their HR strategy.
To lead on development and implementation of HR and people strategies in line with business objectives and best practice
Will have UK wide coverage, operations based from Stockport.
